Services for Adults
National High Blood Pressure Education and Stroke Awareness Month
Stroke is the number 3 cause of death and the leading cause of serious, long-term disability in America. Columbus is not excluded from this number of individuals. The Columbus Health Department offers services for individuals with high blood pressure who are unable to get the appropriate care and assistance for their blood pressures. The services include a professional office visit (to include fasting blood work and an annual physical), assistance with medications, nutritional consults, blood pressure screenings, and blood pressure, cholesterol, and stroke education. Visit the American Stroke Association website to test your knowledge of stroke signs and symptoms at http://www.strokeassociation.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=3070550.
